What else are you involved with on campus and in Terre Haute?

American Chemical Society; Pre-Med Association; Honors Student Association; Rhoads/Mills Area Government; Intramural Volleyball, Dodgeball, and Softball; Relay For Life; Children’s Museum Volunteer; Chemistry Research, Habitat For Humanity

What was your favorite Honors class so far, and why?

My favorite class that I have taken for Honors was Organic Chemistry. I got to spend extra time with my professor each week, and we had a great time learning about Chemistry together.

What do you like most about being an Honors student?

I like being able to register for classes early! It is a huge stress reliever to never have to worry about not being able to get into the classes I need or want.

What is one thing you wish you knew before starting at ISU?

I wish that I would have known about all the amazing opportunities here. I planned on going to a larger school which I thought meant “better” at the time, but I am so happy that I decided to come here to ISU. I would have never received this great of an educational experience anywhere else.

What advice to you have for freshmen Honors students?

Plan ahead, stay organized, and be prepared to work a lot harder than you did in high school. Also, in my opinion being involved on campus and in the community is the #1 way to have a great college experience. It is a great way to have a lot of fun and meet many new interesting people!
