INTERNATIONAL STUDENT ORIENTATION

Registration is Required to attend orientation:  Attendance required on both days.

All new International students are required to attend the two-day New Student Orientation. In order to register for classes, students must attend the orientation session. Students will not be given academic schedules outside of this program. All new students will be assessed a $100.00 orientation fee which will reflect on the first e-bill.

Undergraduate Summer II Admits (Required)

You are required to arrive on campus no later than June 26, 2013.*

Required Orientation Program:   June 27-28, on 27th report at 7:30 a.m. at Office of International Programs and Services (Rhoads Hall Mezzanine) you will be escorted to University Hall in time for the 8 a.m. orientation.

FALL 2013 ADMITS and Summer I & II Admits (REQUIRED)

Required Orientation Program:  

·  Monday, August 12, 2013  at 9:00 am in Hulman Memorial Student Union  DeDe II

·  Wednesday, August 14, 2013 from 9:00 am to 11: am

Immigration Seminar:  You will be provided with valuable information that will help you adjust to studying and living in the U.S. and the opportunity to get to know other students and ISU staff. Attendance at this program is required.

·  Saturday, August 24, 2013 DeDe I from 9:00 am to 11:00 am

This Immigration Seminar is required for all international students. Topics included in orientation and important immigration regulations, housing and dining services, health care, banking, transportation, student employment, safety, community engagement and student activities and organizations. New students also have the chance to meet returning students as well as representatives from various international student organizations.

*If you do not attend orientation you will not be allowed to enroll in the University.  • No office or advisor on campus will provide you with your academic personal identification number.  You will receive this along with other information about registering for classes in the future at the New Student orientation. Failure to enroll will result in failure to maintain legal immigration status and will necessitate your return home.  Make travel arrangements which will allow you to avoid this undesirable outcome.
