Indiana State University and the Wabash Valley offer a wealth of cultural and artistic events and resources. ISU has established itself as a center for intellectual and artistic expression. The University hosts a wide range of events promoting cross-cultural awareness and international education and exchange including Global Nights, International Education Week, a Miss International Pageant, dances, concerts, speakers, fashion shows and meals.



The University also hosts an annual Contemporary Music Festival and
Convocation and Speakers Series as well as an array of Broadway shows,
Summer Stage performances, recitals and concerts. Art-on-Campus showcases ISU’s permanent collection and the work
of students, faculty and other artists throughout the University.

In the community there are many opportunities to explore the arts and community festivals. There are Terre Haute Symphony Orchestra concerts, exhibitions at Arts Fest and the Swope Art Museum, Community Theater productions, and a variety of downtown street festivals, including Oktoberfest and the Strawberry Festival.
