2009 Summer Academy

Upward Bound offers students an intensive Summer Academy. For 2009, the Academy dates are:

Sunday, June 7
through
Friday, July 17

This year's academy will be exciting, fun, and challenging. Students will reside on campus while enrolling in courses that will prepare students not only for the upcoming academic year, but in life. In addition to engaging courses, students will also participate in educational day trips, as well as recreational activities.

Space for the Academy is limited to approximately 40 Upward Bound students. All students will need to complete an application. It is worth noting that students must be current Upward Bound students before they are eligible to apply. Be sure to read and understand the 2009 Summer Academy Handbook before completing the application for the Summer Academy.

Finally, all students will participate in the Summer Research Project. The focus of the Project will be related to an essential department of University operations, such as Admissions, Residential Life, and so forth. More details will follow at the beginning of the Academy.

This summer promises to be rewarding and challenging. Expect to meet those challenges. You owe it to yourself.
