My area of interest is in the Hospitality,
Travel, and Tourism Industry. This industry was in a volatile state
after the tragic events of Sept. 11, 2001. I have chosen to use this
opportunity to research the many changes that have taken place in
regards to public safety, and also try to investigate public opinion of
safe travel today. I hope to find a relation between public confidence
in travel safety and the resurgence of the travel industry. I hope the
results of my research will show to what extent the Hospitality, Travel,
and Tourism Industry has recovered.

I plan to pursue my Master’s degree in the Hospitality Administration
field. My career goal is to manage a resort complex in a tropical
climate that offers a wide variety of recreational activities. With the
growth in popularity of extreme sports and ecotourism, the need for
people to manage and operate these types of facilities is also growing.
I would like to combine my knowledge of sports and recreation with a
Master’s degree in Hospitality to operate a fun and attractive resort
property.
