I am a junior majoring in nursing, a field which has been an intellectual interest of mine since I was a young child.
In ten years, I see myself successfully achieving my ultimate goal of becoming a Family Nurse Practitioner.
I plan to own a nursing and medical practice that will provide adequate health care to a diverse group of patients from
childhood to adulthood. I am determined in making an impact in many lives and becoming an agent for change in nursing.

Currently, I am an Academic Peer Advocate for First-Year Initiative students and will become a Resident Assistant in Fall 2009.
I am also involved in several organizations, such as 21st Century Scholars, Alpha Lambda Delta, Student Nurses Association,
Mortar Board, and the list continues. As a McNair scholar, I hope to gain knowledge that will help prepare me in furthering
my education in graduate school.
