I am in my third year of undergraduate studies and plan to earn my bachelor’s degree in Psychology during the spring of 2012. I intend to further my studies in a Psy.D. program that specializes in either forensic or clinical psychology since I have a strong interest in both of these areas.

My clinical interests include body image and eating disorder trends among ethnic minorities, addictive behaviors, and depression. My interests in forensic psychology center on correctional environments and the effect they have on inmates, attitudes that influence jury verdicts, and deviant behavior in criminals.

In addition to being a McNair Scholar, I am also involved in the Twenty-first Century Scholar program. I do volunteer work around the community and in my spare time I like to read and draw digital artwork.
