Turman Art Gallery hosts past X present digital art show through April 3

Celebrate the digital art work of Indiana State University alumni and students during an artists' reception March 27, from 4:30 - 6:30 pm. The reception will be held in Turman Art Gallery in honor of the current exhibit past X present: Digital Art Student Exhibition 2014 which includes digital animation, interactive video, digital cinema, and sound art.

This is a cross-over exhibition displays the new work of our alumni who studied in the Digital Art classes and our current digital art students. It is an opportunity for students - past and present, to exchange ideas, visions and experiences.

Featuring the talents of undergraduate visual art students enrolled in the intermediate and advanced digital art classes, taught by Professor Sala Wong of the department of art and design. Current student artists Sam Barnes, Amanda Greene, Stetson Hennington, Amanda Hoogenboom, Jordan Lump, Annie Newkirk, Nichole Nootbaar, Grace Oliver, James Palmer, Matthew Rasley, Robert Rhodes, Ashton Searing, Elizabeth Steele and Marc Whitfield will be featured.

Participating alumni digital artists include Ezra Birt '10 (Indianapolis), Amanda Hickey '12 (Rosedale), Sean Kennedy '12 (Rosedale), Rio Lu '12 (Taipei, Taiwan), Jamie Nichole '12 (Scottsdale, Ariz), Raven van Noorden '08 (Brussels, Belgium) and Banet Tinsley '09 (Bloomington).

The Turman Art Gallery is located on the ISU campus in the Fine Arts Building on Chestnut Street, just west of 7th Street. The exhibit runs March 19 - April 3.

Gallery hours for this exhibition are Monday through Friday, 11am- 4pm. This exhibition is free and open to the public. For additional information call 812-237-3720.
