August 13, 2014

The Indiana State University School of Music's first recital will go high-tech this year, featuring electronic projections and sound manipulation.

School of Music faculty member Glen Dimick will be performing an end-of-summer tuba recital, featuring works of Robert Schumann, Sam Pilafian, Dana Wilson and Victor Wooten. This will also be the first Sycamore tuba performance to plug-in with projected illustrations and storytelling along with electronic sound manipulation.

Sharing the stage will be Martha Krasnican on piano, Brian Kilp on horn, and new faculty member Eddie Ludema on trumpet and laptop.

The event, which will be held 7:30 p.m., Aug. 21 in the recital hall of the Landini Center for Performing and Arts, is free and open to the public.

The School of Music's next event is the Faculty Gala Recital at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 11, in University Hall. For more information, call 812-237-2771.
