December 2, 2014

The Rivers & Roads Artisan Trail announces its second traveling art exhibition housed at the Sullivan Area Art Guild gallery at 16 S. Court St. in Sullivan.

Four Wabash Valley artisans were selected to participate in the exhibition, which will be on display through December.

Featured artisans are:

• Adrianus Fraza, painting
• Marsha Garrison, painting and sculpture
• Stephanie Standish, painting
• White Violet Farm Alpacas, fiber

Viewing hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday through Sunday.

The Rivers & Roads Artisan Trail is an initiative of the Rural Urban Entrepreneurship Development Institute at Indiana State University. It aims to promote cultural tourism and raise awareness about the talent and availability of locally crafted products.

"This is a way to celebrate rural communities, as we expand the arts beyond strictly urban areas," said Steven Pontius, the institute's director. "We're excited to provide more opportunities to view the work of Indiana artisans."
