Community School of the Arts to host open house Jan. 16

The Indiana State University Community School of the Arts presents its spring open house 5:30-7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 16, in the Turman and Bare-Montgomery galleries.

On display at the Turman Gallery will be works of art by adult drawing, ceramics and steel sculpture participants. At Bare-Montgomery, an art display will feature the work of children, ages 5-12 years, participating in "Paints and Pencils for Young Artists" and "Out of This World." Guests can view artwork, meet the teachers and enroll in spring classes.

The Bare-Montgomery Gallery is located in Fairbanks Hall, 220 North 7th St., and the Turman Gallery is in the Fine Arts building, 649 Chestnut St.

Refreshments will be served. Free parking is available after 5 p.m. in any staff, faculty or student lot. Admission is free and open to the public.
