Masterworks Chorale is looking for singers

January 7, 2016

The Indiana State University Masterworks Chorale, a large vocal ensemble of students, faculty and community members dedicated to the study and performance of major choral works, is looking for singers for the spring 2016 semester.

The first rehearsal is scheduled for 7-9 p.m. Monday, Jan. 25 in room 150 of the Landini Center for Performing and Fine Arts, located at 7th and Chestnut streets on the Indiana State campus.

All regular rehearsals will be 7-9 p.m. Mondays. Dress rehearsal dates and times will be announced at the first rehearsal. Indiana State students interested in joining should register for credit, and there is a $30 fee for community members (which includes non-Indiana State students) to cover the cost of music for the semester.

This semester the Masterworks Chorale will perform Mozart's "Missa Brevis" in C major (organ solo), and René Clausen's contemporary cantata, "A New Creation." Both works will include soloists, choir and chamber orchestras.
