Masterworks Chorale is looking for singers

August 15, 2016

The Indiana State University Masterworks Chorale, a large vocal ensemble of students, faculty and community members dedicated to the study and performance of major choral works, is looking for singers for the fall 2016 semester.

The first rehearsal is scheduled for 7-9 p.m. Monday, Aug. 29, in room 150 of the Landini Center for Performing and Fine Arts, located at Seventh and Chestnut streets on the Indiana State campus.

All regular rehearsals will be 7-9 p.m. Mondays. Dress rehearsal dates and times will be announced at the first rehearsal. State students interested in joining should register for credit; there is a $30 fee for community members, which includes non-Indiana State students, to cover the cost of music for the semester.

This semester the work to be performed will be Handel's "Messiah," with a selection of choruses and solos accompanied by a chamber orchestra. For questions or more information, contact Mark Carlisle, director, at 812-237-2761 or at Mark.Carlisle@indstate.edu. Participation in the Indiana State Masterworks Chorale by campus and community members is very much encouraged and welcomed!
