‘The State of Work: Artists Laboring for Equality’ open through Feb. 11

For generations, artists have illuminated and given voice to the labor movement. Featuring selections from the Permanent Art Collection and archives of Indiana State University and examples by contemporary artists and designers, "The State of Work: Artists Laboring for Equality" exhibition explores the role artists have played in defining and expressing the needs of the working class.

A reception is set for 4-6 p.m. Jan. 19 in the University Art Gallery in the Landini Center for Performing and Fine Arts.

The gallery is open 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday-Saturday and 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Thursday.
