ISU Masterworks Chorale seeking singers

January 14, 2019

The Indiana State University Masterworks Chorale, a large vocal ensemble of students, faculty and local community members dedicated to the study and performance of major choral works, is looking for singers for the spring 2019 semester.

The first rehearsal is scheduled for Monday, Jan. 28, from 7-9 p.m. in Room 150 of the Landini Center for Performing and Fine Arts, located on the ISU campus at Seventh St. and Chestnut.

All regular rehearsals will be from 7-9 p.m. on Monday evenings. Dress rehearsal dates and times will be announced at the first rehearsal. ISU students interested in joining should register for credit, while there is a $30 fee for community members (which includes non-ISU students) to cover the cost of music for the semester.

This semester the Masterworks Chorale will perform the Mozart Requiem, one of the most well-known and beloved works in the large choral ensemble repertoire. The performance will include choir, SATB solo quartet and orchestra.

For questions or more information, contact Mark Carlisle, director, at 812-237-2761, or by email at Mark.Carlisle@indstate.edu. Participation by campus and community members from throughout the Wabash Valley is encouraged and welcomed.
