Margaret Reed, 86, a former guidance counselor and dance teacher, donated $500,000 to Indiana State for the purpose of supporting the President's Scholars program -- ISU's top scholarship program, which provides full tuition, room, board and books to academically talented students. Margaret and her late husband, Walter, both graduated from ISU. [historical photos] [westminster event photos] A special ceremony was conducted Oct. 8 at Westminster Village in honor of Reed. After a brief introduction by ISU Executive Director of Alumni Affairs John Newton, Kevin Hoolehan of the ISU Foundation presented her with a one-of-a-kind Sycamore leaf sculpture in appreciation for her gift to the university.
