Indiana State University's Sycamore women's basketball team played the Southwest Missouri State Bears in the championship match of the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament March 15 in Des Moines, Iowa. The women were defeated by SMS, 75-70. Although this did not result in an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament, they will play Ball State University March 21 in the first round of the WNIT at ISU's Hulman Center.
