Recipient
Jill Slaven has returned to Indiana State after teaching for 20 years. In 1989 she graduated with a BS in teaching, returned to add a K-12 Library license, and then returned again in 1995 to finish her Masters in Education. She has taught many different levels from 6th grade to college to 60 year olds in the State of Indiana GED program--and many different subjects from English, history, communications, and media . She has been married to Kyle for 22 years and has one son. Although she took the long road, she has returned to Indiana State to finish the profession she has always wanted to pursue--nursing. Her goal is to finish her RN degree, gain experience, return to work towards an FNP and someday return to teaching--as a nursing instructor.
