Recipient
Sean Jastillano would like to extend his thanks to the committee that helped choose him for the Burnita Hershfield Scholarship in Nursing. This was his first merit based scholarship! He is very excited and grateful to be given this opportunity! Currently, he is enrolled in the BS nursing track at ISU with a prospective graduation date of December 2013. He previously graduated from Hanover College in 2009 with a degree in Pre-Medicine and History. He is also an alumnus of the fraternity Lambda Chi Alpha (Theta Zeta Zeta) and served on the external involvement (community outreach) committee for several years. His future plans include: to be able to complete and become a licensed BS nurse, obtain work in critical care for a few years, and eventually become a Nurse Anesthetist. He is also considering enrolling in the Public Health Service possibly in the near future to better serve his community.
