Tiffany Cothron learned at the age of seventeen that she was pregnant with her first child. She was a junior in high school at the time. She was faced with the tough decision of where to take her life now that she was going to have a child for which to care. She decided that no matter how hard of a road it would be, that she was going to go to college to become a nurse. Tiffany had dreams of becoming nurse since she was in 8th grade and the twin towers were attacked. As a child she watched the nurses come out to help the injured. Although the police and firefighters received the credit, she noticed that the nurses did their jobs without recognition and they were still proud. The nurse became an everyday hero from that time on. While still a senior in high school awaiting graduation, she began college when her daughter was three months old. Tiffany began taking pre-requisites at Ivy Tech State College. She then transferred to ISU where she began her study in the baccalaureate program in nursing. She is currently a senior and is very excited about beginning her career as a registered nurse. She recently had her second child. After graduation, Tiffany plans to begin studying for a nursing Master's in the Administration concentration.
