Betsy Frank has her BSN from
The Ohio State University, MN
in medical-surgical nursing from the
University of
Washington and PhD from the
University of Utah
with a major in educational administration. She teaches online in the
RN-BS track of the
baccalaureate degree nursing program, on campus in the
BS
program and online in the
Master’s program in
Nursing Administration. Courses taught include
NURS 300,
NURS 322,
NURS 470 and NURS
652. In the past few years she has received the Faculty
Distinguished Service Award, President's Medal and the Caleb Mills
Teaching Award. In September 2007 she was inducted into the first class
of the National League for Nursing Academy of Nurse Educators.
Her current research interests are spiritual coping in cancer patients
and response of students to international collaboration through course
discussion boards. Other research interests include job satisfaction in
staff nurses and nurse administrators. She has published many articles
and book chapters on a variety of nursing education and nursing
administration topics.
Dr. Frank is also is active in many organizations. Currently she is
Region 9 Coordinator for
Sigma Theta Tau
International.
