Credits earned at another college or university will be evaluated on an individual basis in accordance with University policies.
Indiana State University offers students an opportunity to earn credit by examination. University policies for granting credit by examination are applied for General Education courses*.
The University transfer policy is applied for non-cognate general education courses. The appropriate department chairperson evaluates cognate general education course(s) for transfer credit.
Professional portfolio review is designed to provide the experienced nurse with the opportunity to demonstrate successful attainment of course objectives for specific nursing courses - earning up to 10 credit hours.
*Revisions to the General Education Program are in process. The new Foundational Studies Program will be in effect for those students entering ISU beginning Fall 2010.
