Backup and Retention Schedule
WINDOWS & Novell Servers
- The Windows and Novell servers are backed up using an appropriate scheme
depending on the RPO (recovery point objective) of the data. Either a
Full/Differential, Full/Iincremental, or Full/Delta approach is used.

The differential and incremental backup media are kept for three weeks.

The full backup media are kept for 30 days.

End-of-year (fiscal) media are kept for one year.
HP Servers and UNIX Systems

All files on these servers are backed up nightly (using time-stamp differentials) with a full backup of all servers being done once a week.

The differential and incremental backup media are kept for three weeks.

Media used during the full backups are retained for 60 days.
