The Student Academic Services Center held its first annual Honors Convocation on Monday, March 22, 2004 to honor students who have achieved excellence in the classroom. Speakers included Dr. Catherine Baker (SASC Director), Dr. Karen Schmid (Associate VP Academic Affairs), Jodie Ward (Student Support Services), and others. The Honors Convocation includes many different awards and recognitions. The descriptions below offer a detailed list of what each award recognizes. This list honors those students who have achieved excellence in the classroom with a 3.00 grade point average in fall 2003.
This recognizes those students who demonstrate outstanding academic achievement in the classroom with a 3.75 or higher grade point average in fall 2003.
This award is given to those individuals who have attained the perfect grade point average of a 4.0 during fall 2003 semester.
A very prestigious award recognizing two students who have utilized the services of the SASC, while demonstrating dedication to academic and personal excellence.
