Harish A. Sharma, a graduate student from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, is working on his Master thesis with Dr. Gabi Nindl at the Terre Haute Center.

Mr. Sharma won a second place cash award for research papers at the Rocky Mountain Bioengineering Symposium (RMBS) on his work titled: Characterization of a real time H2O2 monitor for use in studies of H2O2 production by antibodies and cells.

The RMBS meeting was held in Biloxi, Mississippi on April 11-13, 2003.

Mr. Sharma is pictured here with Dr. Mary Johnson, THCME faculty sponsor for the RBMS meeting.

Ryan Harris, an RHIT Biomedical Engineering graduate student who works with Dr. Johnson, also attended the meeting (not pictured). Ryan's paper, Use Of Proteomics Methodology To Evaluate Inflammatory Protein Expression In Tendinitis, was also presented at the RMBS meeting, as was Dr. Johnson's study, Autoradiographic Evaluation of Electomagnetic Field Effects on Serotonin (5-HT1A) Receptors in Rat Brain.
