Introduction to Medical
Physiology, Indiana University School of Medicine F525 This 7 credit hour course
teaches the functions of living organisms
with emphasis on human beings. It entails a lecture portion, mainly
taught as interactive
Team-Based
Learning, and a laboratory portion. The laboratory portion teaches
normal and clinical physiology using
clinical diagnostic devices (e.g. to teach sigmoidoscopy,
electrocardiography), physiological transducers
(e.g. to teach nerve conduction, balance), and a
human-sized patient simulator
METI (e.g. to
teach blood pressure, diabetes).



Concepts in Health
and Disease X510 The
CHD course is a 1 credit hour course and consists of clinical
laboratories, small group work, and portfolio work. Groups
of students analyze selected case reports to learn the molecular
basis of diseases with an evidence-based emphasis.
