Works by Pulitzer Prize winner slated
for annual music festival

     The 34th Contemporary Music Festival at Indiana State University will begin Oct. 25 and continue until Oct. 27, concluding with a concert by the Louisville Orchestra in which the works of principal guest composer, Aaron Jay Kernis, will be featured.

Peter Schickele next in Speakers Series lineup
     Musical artist Peter Schickele will appear at Indiana State University Oct. 18 for a University Speakers Series presentation at 7:30 p.m. in Tilson Auditorium.

Lloyd Benjamin has his eyes firmly focused on the horizon and says he will not be spending much time looking back. Barely on the job for 90 days, the 10th president of Indiana State University presented a forward-looking agenda to faculty and staff during his first fall address Sept. 24.
