TONY CAMPBELL
Photojournalist


Tony Campbell joined the Office of Public Affairs staff as a photojournalist in April 2000.

In addition to handling the photography needs for the Division of University Advancement, he also maintains the Public Affairs image database, creates graphics and art for Campus Connection and other public affairs publications, designs web graphics and provides limited reporting and writing support.

Before coming to ISU, Campbell served as chief photographer for the Effingham Daily News in Effingham, Ill., for four years. While at the Daily News, he received several honors from the Associated Press, the Illinois Press Association and the Southern Illinois Editorial Association.

Campbell also worked as a general assignment reporter for two years at the Vandalia (Ill.) Leader-Union (1991-93), one year as a general assignment reporter in Effingham (1993), and he returned to the Leader-Union for two years as sports editor (1994-96).

He earned a bachelor of arts degree in journalism in 1991 from Eastern Illinois University.

Tony and his wife, Jennifer, live in Paris, Ill.
