Chalfant, star of the New York, London and Los Angeles
productions of the play "Wit" and the
actress who plays Laurie Solt on the CBS TV show
"The Guardian," paid a visit to Terre Haute
Feb. 10 to talk about her experiences as an actress on
both stage and screen.
Former
ISU doctoral student works in Chile to help save
chinchillas
Amy Deane, a
former doctoral student at Indiana State University,
has dedicated her life to saving chinchillas -- a type
of rodent -- and educating the public about them. Art
students display various works during evening of art,
wine food and music
Several ISU art
students and art alumni recently had the chance to
show off their work to patrons of Stables Steakhouse
Feb. 8 during an evening of wine tasting, food, live
entertainment and art at the local eatery. United
Way Campus Campaign successfully closes, raising
$65,000
The United Way
Campus Campaign was unofficially closed on Jan. 3 with
contributions and pledges totaling more than $65,000
and 32 percent -- or 577-- of individuals in the
Indiana State University community contributing. School
of Business receives $85,779 donation from State Farm

Indiana State
University professor Mary Ann Boose wants her
insurance and risk management students to not only
learn about their chosen fields, but to interact with
the industry and perhaps even "give back" to
the community through public service projects. Art
department receives $60,000 gift

study and produce works of art in the near future due
to a gift of $60,000 to the ISU Department of Art. University
