Message from the Executive Director
Dear
Colleagues, Globalization is having a profound effect
on U.S. higher education. A Rand Corporation study by
T.K. Bibson and S.A. Law, "Global Preparedness in
Human Resources: College and Corporate Prospectives,"
defines globalization as "a model for thinking
about economic and cultural activity, involving a
shift in international understanding."

Education Week Nov. 18-22
As International
Education Week winds down, it is important to note
that this has really been "International
Education Semester," says Gaston Fernandez,
executive director of the International Affairs Center
at ISU.

guess that the International Student Organization at
Indiana State University is open to students from

week, Nelson Dias may be working with NASA officials
one day and visiting a Vigo County middle school the
next. Elena Pérez might be doing research on methane
seeps off the coast of California and later putting
together a project for a Vigo County High School
