Louise A. Anderson

MSN, RN, Director, WCI-AHEC

Louise Anderson

Office: (812) 237-9688 Fax: (812) 237-2926 Email: louise.anderson@indstate.edu

Louise A. Anderson earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Indiana State University and her Masters in Nursing Administration from Indiana University (IUPUI). She has nursing experience in emergency room, critical care, general medical-surgical and cardiac rehabilitation at staff and management levels in the hospital setting. She has public health nursing experience in staff, consultant and management roles at county and state government levels. She has served as a clinical instructor for medical-surgical and mental health nursing and as interim director for continuing education in nursing in the academic setting. She is an active volunteer in professional and community organizations having held board and committee positions at the local, state and national levels.

"When I look back over the 30+ years of my career, I have seen many changes in health service delivery that have resulted from research findings, advances in life sciences and technology, the "graying" of America, introduction of new and re-emerging diseases and conditions, environmental conditions and the global economy. All have contributed to the way health care professionals practice. With all the changes, a constant remains... the demand for highly qualified, sufficient numbers of strategically distributed health care workers from entry-level support to specialized careers with a focus on primary care. AHEC has the responsibility for health care workforce development from recruitment into health careers through training & educational experiences to continuing education for professionals."

Michele L. Clark

BS, Associate Director, WCI-AHEC

Office: (812) 237-8588 Fax: (812) 237-2926 Email: michele.clark@indstate.edu

Michele Clark earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from Indiana State University. She has program development, presentation, and recruitment/marketing experience within WCI-AHEC’s eleven county coverage, and has had the opportunity of working for both not-for-profit and for-profit facilities within the mental health realm. She has been very active in community involvement and enjoys participating in local events, councils, and organizations.

Michele has witnessed so many young children that aspire to go into a particular health career field, but as they get older are not given the encouragement to work hard to pursue their goals. She wants to see to it that every student, who has an interest in health careers, has the confidence to follow their dreams and create a career path that excites them. Through education students will be given the opportunity to make important decisions toward their future and have a lot of fun discovering the career possibilities that they have.

Janet Rose

Louise Anderson

AS, Administrative Assistant II

Office: (812) 237-4365 Fax: (812) 237-2926 Email: janet.rose@indstate.edu

Janet Rose is the Administrative Assistant for WCI-AHEC. Janet agrees that the job market today and into the future is pointing toward needing more allied health care professionals to serve in the underserved areas of our state. In her opinion, too many are deprived of readily accessible health care in the rural areas and in some urban areas. She believes we have a duty to promote health care careers to current students, displaced workers looking to re-invent their careers, and persons seeking to change careers.

"It is my desire to contact K-12 students in Sullivan, Greene, Clay, Putnam, Vermillion, Vigo, Montgomery, Parke, and Owen counties about health careers. It is never too early to begin planning a career and develop a plan on how to achieve that goal. Our goal is to "spark" that interest in our youth. Find your passion and follow it!"

Janet completed her Associate of Science in Business Administration in 2008 and is continuing her studies at Indiana State University. She is an active volunteer in professional and community organizations having held board and committee positions at the local levels.

Janet enjoys actively supporting ISU sporting events, fishing, bowling, crafts, and spending time with her husband and pets.

Go Sycamores, Colts, Pacers, Indiana Fever, and White Sox!
