The 2007-2008 programs included topics in the following areas: innovative educational programs, cultural interests, women's issues, local and national history.
Interest groups meeting monthly year-round are Antiques and Readers. Another group meets 2-3 times a year doing craft projects, the results of which are often money-makers for the branch.
The Reading is Fundamental (RIF) program was instituted by the branch 33 years ago [year?]. Currently, all 2nd and 3rd graders in the 9 elementary schools are given free books. Each school has 3 book parties over the course of the year. Due to the dedication and diligence of the members in charge of administering this program, over 3200 books are given away each year.
Educational Foundation: Since 1972, the branch has given 29 named grants, 21 of those going to branch members. Currently 6 of the honorees are active branch members, continuing their contributions to AAUW. The 2008 honoree is Joan Robinson, recent past-president.
